In 1976, teenager Gurdip Chaggar was murdered in Southall by racist thugs, who carved the letters 'NF' onto his body. No-one was convicted. The Southall Youth Movement was formed after this, becoming heavily involved in the riots of '79 and '81. During the '79 riots, NZ-born teacher Blair Peach was killed by 'death by misadventure' by the Police, without any officers convicted. Stand Strong details the events of SB's home town Southall's eventful history, and to remind today's generation of the hardships endured and the atrocities overcome to establish the multicultural society we see in the community today...
