Embassy of India, Paris is organising a series of events on the occasion of the third International Day of Yoga. As a part of these celebrations, a Yoga event, in association with Sivananda Vedanta Yoga Centre, was organised at the iconic Eiffel Tower on 18 June 2017 in Paris. In spite of huge demand, the participation had to be restricted to 300 Yoga enthusiasts.
Dr. Mohan Kumar, Ambassador of India, speaking on the occasion, underscored the importance of yoga in controlling individual’s mind, body and soul. He urged the participants to follow the message of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, i.e., “Let us take steps to deal with the pain yet to come". Swami Kailasananda of Sivananda Vedanta Yoga Centre guided the participants in performing several Yoga asanas to the soft and peaceful background music.
