Anthony Pasquale and Mick Gillespie talk about the Cubs' potential All-Stars as MLB All-Star game voting has officially opened. The pair discussed Shōta Imanaga's candidacy as well as if players like Javier Assad, Mark Leiter Jr. or Cody Bellinger have a chance to play at the midsummer classic.
With the Cubs' catching struggles, a lot of comments have been made about why the Cubs ever parted ways with Willson Contreras. There was a report from David Kaplan that said the Cubs partially parted ways with Contreras because of clubhouse issues.
They also talked about some reports about potential trade targets Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Pete Alonso, both slugging first basemen. They talked about what the type of package it would take to net one of those stars as well as which prospects Anthony and Mick view as untouchable in the Cubs' system.
Also, Luis Vazquez is in Tampa Bay with the team, is he coming up?
