A general-purpose operational amplifier with offset voltage null capabilities is the UA741. The amplifier is the best choice for voltage-follower applications because of the wide common-mode input voltage range and lack of latch-up. The short-circuit protection of the gadget and internal frequency adjustment provide stability without the need of any additional parts. To cancel out the off set voltage, a low-value potentiometer can be connected between the off set null inputs.
