96% of the universe is hiding right in front of us and no one knows why
Now 4% of the universe is made up of normal matter or baryonic matter, the stuff that you, your best friend and the sun are made of like protons, neurons and electrons.
The other 96% is made up of 68% dark energy and 27% dark matter,
What is dark matter?
Dark Matter is an attractive force, a source of gravity, it does not emit, reflect or absorb light, so it cannot be detected by normal sensors.
But, if it wasn’t for dark matter the milky way galaxy would have spun out of control and the earth would be thrown into outer space, think of it is as glue that holds all of our galaxies together…Motion of stars tells us how much matter there is
There is not enough visible matter to provide the mass needed for Newton's Law of Gravity and Motion or Einstein’s General Relativity to be universally true. The objects in pretty much all of the galaxies are moving too fast. Basically, there should not be enough gravity to keep them, well us, from flying out of our own galaxy, and that is where the mass provided by invisible matter comes in
Can it be touched?
It can’t be touched it would filter right through the atoms of your own body
Is it dangerous?
Neither is it dangerous , it doesn’t interact with us
SO what are these dark forces? Do they exist, or are the laws of gravity just wrong.
If you know, there is a nobel prize out there with your name on it.
