I am using the MPC Live to outline how to create a beat like one of my favorite producers, 9th Wonder. 9th Wonder makes soulful sample based boom bap beats, with soulful chops and high energy.

For this beat, I used the MPC Live as the standalone tool to flip the sample, arrange the drum samples, and sequence sampled bass.
