LIVER SINEW (MUSCLE) CHANNEL
Begins on the dorsum of the big toe, crosses in front of the internal malleolus and ascends along the medial aspect of the tibia, connecting at the inside of the knee. From here, it proceeds up the medial aspect of the thigh to the genitals, where it joins with other muscle channels.
Pathological Svmptoms: Strained muscles of the big toe, pain in the area anterior to the internal malleolus, pain at the medial aspect of the knee, pain due to twisted muscles along the medial aspect of the thigh, dysfunction of the genitals (impotence from sexual indulgence, contraction of the genitals if injured by cold, flaccidness if injured by heat).

LIVER LUO-CONNECTING VESSEL SYSTEM
After separating from the primary channel at Liv 5 and connecting with the Gall Bladder at GB 40, a branch proceeds up the leg to the genitals.
Symptoms of Luo Channel Excess: Colic, swelling in the testicles

DU MAI (GOVERNING VESSEL) Pathway
The primary pathway of the Du Meridian has its origin deep within the lower abdomen (i.e. in the area of the lower dantian). It emerges to the surface of the body at DU1 (at the root of the spine, midway between the tip of the coccyx and the anus) and then ascends along the midline of the sacrum and through the interior of the spinal column.

DAI MAI
The Dai Mai Vessel is an extraordinary vessel, also known as the Girdle Vessel, since it is the only horizontal vessel that divides the body at the stomach. This Vessel encircles the channels around the Stomach, such as the Du Mai Vessel, the Chong Mai Vessel, and the Stomach channel. It is associated mainly with the free flow of Liver Qi, the ascending and descending of Essence within the Kidney and the rising of the Spleen-Qi. The Girdle Vessel starts from the Hypochondrium at LIV-13 Zhangmen and connects G.B.-26 Daimai, G.B.-27 Wushu, G.B.-28 Weidao, and the Kidney Divergent channel at the point BL-23 Shenshu in the back.

YIN WEI MAI
The Yin Linking Vessel or the Yin Wei Mai, is the Earth Vessel that controls the interior of the body. It is considered a “Linking” Vessel because it connects all the Yin channels at point P-6 Neiguan. The vessel nourishes the Blood and the Yin that circulates; Because of the Heart-Blood connection, mental stress, including anxiety, insomnia and depression, is cleared through this vessel.

YANG WEI MAI
The Yang Wei Mai, also known as the Yang Linking Vessel, is an extraordinary vessel that connects all the Yang channels at point G.B.-35 Yang Jiao. It impacts the external aspect of the body, attacking the Defensive Qi.

YIN QIAO MAI
The Yin Qiao Mai or the Yin Stepping Vessel is an Extraordinary Vessel that originates in the heel; Qiao refers to lifting the foot to move. The Yin Stepping Vessel absorbs excess of Qi from the Main Channel in the abdomen. Both the Yin and Yang Stepping Vessel reach the eyes; the Yin Stepping Vessel transports Yin to the eyes, whereas the Yang Stepping Vessel transports Yang to the eyes.
