STOP RUINING YOUR USB PORTS!
If you're working from home and still switching the keyboard and mouse dongles between a personal and work laptop at the end of the day, stop!
Or maybe you have two sets of keyboards, mice, and USB-C dongles? You can stop that too!
It took me a while to figure out the appropriate desk setup for working from home that didn't produce a lot of clutter and didn't ruin my computer's USB or USB-C ports.
I think I found it - a KVM switch. It works well with Mac and Windows laptops, and I am able to use a single mouse and keyboard for both of these computers!
The only downside is that you can only use it with one monitor. I have switched to a single wide monitor and it's been working great for me. That's been just over a year since I switched to using this setup with a single monitor, single mouse, single keyboard, and a KVM switch. Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of ALL THE CORDS THAT ARE EVERYWHERE (not the switch's fault, it actually didn't produce any new cords).
Let me know what your own setup is!
