Do you want to learn more about good practices in circular packaging design, material recovery, consumer education and policy, and draw insights from them?
You’ll find out more on these topics:
💡1) Circular design: packaging that is fit for purpose, easily recyclable, consists of renewable materials, sortable in the recycling system, separable, and makes positive contributions to the environment and circularity.
💡2) Material recovery: high-quality recovery of materials with increased purity and eco-efficiency.
💡3) Consumer education and policy recommendations: insights from consumer sorting and waste separation behaviour in packaging, and lessons for consumer education and policy.
What exactly is Merlin?
MERLIN is a research project supported by a number of leading public and private organizations, will offer innovative solutions for all the processes required to increase the quality and rate of recycled plastic materials coming from multi-layer packaging waste.
What should I expect from the webinar?
Circular design: This session will delve into how packaging should be designed to eliminate waste, increase circularity, and regenerate nature by ITENE, and what good practices and learnings regarding circular design, recycling, and consumer education exist, shared by CSCP.
During the webinar, you will explore how Ioniqa Technologies employs its solvent-based depolymerization process to recover high-quality monomers from multi-layer packaging waste streams. Additionally, CSCP will present effective insights into educating consumers regarding packaging waste disposal through the Packaging Club of the Consumer Insight Action Panel, followed by the roundtable discussion on the challenges and opportunities of circular packaging.
Finally, the event will conclude with an interactive group discussion on prioritizing the recommendations for increasing the circularity of plastic packaging
