I've now used this tool many times and have formed opinions on some of the features. I point out some of the good points, shortcomings and give a few tips.
ERRATA: a friend challenged my statement that the lathe does not include reverse jaws for the chuck. I went and looked again in the little box of parts/tools - lo and behold I found the reverse jaws wrapped in paper at the bottom. I hadn't noticed them when I set up the lathe. YAY! I can now machine my steam engine flywheel.
