The 175 means the width of the wheel.
Then 65 is the side wall height.
Then the R14 means the size of the rim that fits to the tire.
175 wide. 65 side wall.
R14 is the size of rim or mags that fit to the tire.
Now if ever you change your tire size.

So that you have an idea,
​​how your tire will change if you ever change your tire size.

Like for example on this mirage glx model.
The original tire size is 175/65r14 then I replaced it with 185/65r14.
Now let's compare.
If you notice there is a slight change in the width and height of my tire.

Almost 0.4 inches width and 0.2 inches added in height.
Well it's ok. I'm sure it won't hang on the inner fender.
Because when I checked the mirage wheel gls model. whose rim size is 15.
They are almost the same width and height.
In the gls model this is his size.
185/55R15 then the new one tires is 185/65r14.
if we compare, they are almost the same width of 7.3 inches,
then the diameter 0.5 inch added.
If you notice. they are different on rim size.
my size is 14 then gls size 15.
But because 55 are for size 15 mags and 65 are for size 14 rims,
they are almost the same height.
So just like that. Before you change the size of the tire.
It's also ok for you to check if your tire is ok.
