At the FIA European Finals 2019 it all came together for Team Fraudster!
We were playing around with clutch setups and on the last qualifier run decided to just go for it! With some alterations in the mapping the car propelled itself down the 1/4 mile in 7.86 seconds at 173 MPH with a 1.16 60ft at 2.3 bar of boost.
This was all done on what we call our 'Donkey Engine' which is a stock cast block (not concreted) , stock crank, off the shelf rods & pistons, no girdle and no damper. Unfortunately after this run we discovered that it had cracked the block but that was inevitable with the parts we were using and it had been in there since May after our race engine was wiped out from an unbalanced clutch.
Still, What a way to sign the season off... we'll be back stronger in 2020.
