Today, the 11th of April is a very special day for our family and we praise God for this day and the gift of life we have received. We celebrate with a beautiful song from the wonderful state of Mizoram. With much respect and love, we hope this song is a blessing to you all who listen.
A long time ago, we started recording covers for a playlist we called "Songs We Love" and then added "Songs from the Northeast" as a separate Series with songs we love by artists specifically from the Northeast. Our last song in this series was Lei Lei from Manipur and it was much loved. Thank you for the encouragement. We'd love to hear your suggestions too for the next one from your State.
This particular song, "Mamawh Chhanna Lal Isua" in Mizo is a favourite of Lulu and when we learnt the meaning of the song, it made perfect sense to cover it.
