Chris Remington -- Passionate Chef

Former two time B.C. Iron Chef, Chris Remington is passionate about food. As the Head Chef at the Penticton Lakeside and Resort, he is challenged daily to stay current with hospitality and culinary trends and at the same time he is at the leading end of the local food source, low carbon footprint diet with Valleyview Farms.

For TEDxPenticon 2012 Chris looks at where the food movement is going with examples around urban gardening and community kitchens. "Why we should embrace backyard gardening and help reduce our carbon footprint."

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
