Following a successful run on Parks and Recreation, Aziz Ansari really hit it big when he created and starred in the hit Netflix series, Master of None. The critically-acclaimed show, which brought the actor-writer numerous accolades, had undeniable parallels with many of Ansari’s interests and experiences. It centered around food and romance for a single comedian in New York, which sounds pretty similar to Ansari’s own life and career.

However, Ansari’s career trajectory -- and his role on Master of None -- came to a halt in January 2018, when a woman accused the star of sexual misconduct. Soon after the report came out, Ansari publicly apologized, but he’s since pretty much disappeared from the spotlight.
