Hi, and welcome to The Immigrant Lawyer. My name is Lia, and I'm an immigrant turned immigrants' rights advocate with a passion for mindful movement.
Mindful movement, in my life, means migration + mobility.
Migration is the movement of people from one place to another, with the intention of settling at a new location. As an immigration attorney licensed and practicing in California, I've worked with families, asylum seekers, and survivors of crime and violence from all over the world and advised a Fortune 100 tech company on strategies for U.S. immigration & global mobility. Recently, I made the switch to civil litigation in the hopes of becoming a more well-rounded legal advocate.
Mobility is the ability to move freely, which I like to do by teaching and practicing yoga-Pilates-HIIT.
The Immigrant Lawyer is my offering to our community of movers and doers. Join me here as we dive into U.S. immigration processes and policies and unwind our mind and body with some stretching, cardio, and flexibility together.
