- 3 cups lentils / ثلاث اكواب. عدس
- 1/3 cup Egyptian rice / ثلث الكوب رز مصري
- 2 onions (medium size) / بصل عدد 2 وسط
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil / ربع كوب زيت نباتي
- 1/4 cup olive oil * / ربع كوب زيت زيتون
- 10 cups water / عشر اكواب ماء
- 1/2 tbsp salt / نصف ملعقة طعام ملح
- 1/4 tsp black pepper / ربع ملعقة صغيرة بهار اسود
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder / ربع ملعقة صغيرة كمون
