Polvorosa de Pollo, this is a recipe I used to do in my home in Venezuela. My family loved it. They are always asking me my recipe (you can find it on the internet under this name) this is my style the way I do it. You can fix it and try it.
Hope you like it here are the ingredients.
For the filling:
-4 whole boiled chicken breasts. Reserve 1 cup of the water so you can use it.
-1/2 cup green olives
-1/3 cups walnuts (optional)
-1 chopped onion
-1/2 cup chopped peppers
-1/4 cup sweet wine (optional)
-1/2 cup hydrate raisins
Shred the chicken, pre-heat the pan with oil.
Cook the vegetable.
Incorporate de chicken.
Add the raising, species, salt and pepper, sweet wine and chicken soup, walnuts and green olives chopped.
Cook for 8 minutes.
The Dough:
-5 cups of wheat flour
-480 g of butter
-2 egg yolks
-1/3 sugar
-1/2tsp baking powder
-1/4 tsp of salt
-2 1/2 cups of plain flour
-1/4 cup of water or white wine
-1/4 cup of vegetable oil
Mix the flour, baking powder, salt.
Add the butter. Cutt it with two knives, rub the mixture with your fingers into bread crumbs.
Add sugar, the yolk eggs, oil and the water.
Rub till you have a ball and reserve in the fridge for 30 min.
After that, cut in two pieces, reserve one for the cover.
Preheat the oven 175c, place your dough in a circle our square pan.
Incorporate the filling, use the rest of the dough to cover you polvorosa.
Put into the oven cook around 30-45 mins.
Serve and share
