Hi friends! When I moved into my new filming room I used 6' plastic craft fair folding table for my worksurface figuring I would build or buy something fancy once I decided what I wanted. The problem is, I'm not fancy and I'd much rather repurpose stuff I have (use what you have!) plus I decided I wanted to do this project now! I hope this inspires you in your creative space.
The tabletop is a hollow core wooden door that I painted white earlier this week. When we first moved into this house 21 years ago we removed the sliding doors from the closets and they have come in so handy over the years! I used 2 coats of Bin Paint/primer.
One end of the table is supported by the hutch part of a computer desk. It was taking up space in the basement and my son no longer wanted it on his desk. The other leg is a set of plastic drawers shimmed to hight with a few sheets of plywood. It's not fancy but you can see it and it is sturdy so I'm fine with it.
I moved around the room a bit and my hubby put a mount on the ceiling for my lights and camera. I am so happy not to have the tech clutter around!
Best of all I can put the old 6' folding table up in front of my new table and have friends over to craft!
