The line is able to decoil 2m wide coil (up to 25mm in thickness and high strength steel grades up to 1600N/mm2 tensile strength) with consistently superior flatness and surface presentation. Located adjacent to the Llanwern hot strip mill, it is unique amongst UK service centres in its ability to both accept coil and also despatch sheet via a direct rail link.
