Upper Back Row 2nd Place Lift
If you don’t have a Prime Extreme Row, a chest supported T bar Row is another good option.
Both the Prime and T bar are chest braced. Also the T-bar is a bit heavier at the bottom and lighten up at the top, but not to the extent like we can load the Prime with.
Same cues apply:
Control the eccentric
Full thoracic flexion and extension allowing the shoulder blade to protract and retract fully as well
Grip that allows for the elbow and wrist to stay stacked at the top
The elbow path should travel right under the shoulder joint (call it 60-70 degrees upper arm to torso angle for the protractor engineers out there)
End with Kelso shrugs to reach closer proximity to failure for traps if that is a needed area
Enjoy the back gains!
