While living in Annan in the area of Scotland's Dumfries and Galloway, we took a weekend to get out and explore as much as we could using our newly acquired Historic Scotland Membership cards. We went out and visited tons of castles including Caerlaverock, Carlsluith, Maclellan's, Cardoness, and Threave Castle; saw Sweetheart and Dundrennan Abbey's; old buildings like Orchardton Tower and Lincluden Collegiate Church; and saw some cool archaeological sites such as Cairnholy 1 & 2 and Torhouse Stone Circle!
We thoroughly enjoyed our quick jampacked weekend in Dumfries and Galloway Scotland and we hope you enjoyed following along as well as possibly gaining some inspiration or ideas on what to see if you're ever in this part of the world!
