Rome is more than just a city, it's an experience. I went to the Eternal City and created this documentary before the pandemic, and it took me a year to make this video a reality (along with a deeper realisation of what Rome means to me as a visitor).
This is a tribute to one of the most enduring, legendary cities on our planet, a city with such staggering legacy and influence in our civilisation — a city that also happens to be extremely beautiful, wistful and exquisitely cinematic.
Rome is beyond special, the one and true city carved out of dreams, a city full of passion and yearning for history, art, culture and greatness. A city that's overflowing with stories, countless iconic sites — from the Trevi Fountain to St. Peter's Basilica, from the Colosseum , the Pantheon to the Roman Forum, from the elegant Capitoline Hill to the quietly ravishing Roman streets and ancient passages. Places and monuments that all echo with lessons in time, resilience and human wisdom.
So whenever your road leads to Rome someday, I hope this video will help you appreciate the Eternal City deeper than ever before and its momentous place in our world.
Viva Roma. Finché c’è vita, c’è speranza.
As long as there is life, there is hope.
