Whiplash injury is not just a sprain/strain -- even with seemingly mild initial forces, a person can have many months of pain and dysregulation to perceptual, cognitive, and autonomic systems.

The theme of this video is restoration ecology -- focusing your attention and effort on feedback loops, scaled experiments, and collaborating with the system in real-world context.
We need to understand how the initial injuries of whiplash give rise to self-perpetuating dysregulations to the immune and nervous systems. If we can arrest these feedback loops, we may have a chance at accelerating a person's recovery. (If we can't affect the feedback loops, our short-term fixes will dissolve and no progress will be made.)
