Dowlais engine house: built in 1905 for Guest, Keen and Nettlefold to provide plast for the new blast furnace plant at Dowlais works.
Cefn Coed viaduct: built in 1866 to carry the Brecon to Merthyr Railway over the River Taff, the original cost of the bridge was £25,000 and it is the third largest viaduct in Wales.
Cyfarthfa Castle: built in 1825 by William Crawshay. it cost £30,000 and was home to the Crawshay's until 1889.
Cyfarthfa iron works: Was a major 18th century and 19th ironworks.
The video also shows Merthyr's future our new cyfarthfa retail park and Trago Mills the first store in Wales will be opening in 2018.
Merthyr Tydfil has alot of history to visit and is a great place to shop so why don't you visit Merthyr.
