SHILOH 2023 | DAY 3 | HOUR OF VISITATION
Word Session 2
Message Title: The Mind as the Battlefield of the Redeemed - 2. Cor. 10:5
Ministering: Pastor Dr. Paul Enenche
As we approach this season of gross darkness on the earth, one of the places that requires utmost attention is the mind of the redeemed.
The mind is the battlefield of the redeemed.
Why is the Mind Important?
1. The mind is the battlefield of the redeemed.
2. Battles may be fought with weapons but they are won with strategies.
3. Life is lived inside-out, not outside-in.
4. The state of the mind affects the state of life.
5. The mind is the most critical target of enemy confrontation.
Biblical Examples of Those Who Lost in their Minds
1. The children of Israel. - Num. 11:4-6.
- They longed for their captivity because their bondage had transferred to their mind.
2. Gideon. - Judg. 6:14-16
- If God is on your side and you are on your own side, no devil on the other side can overcome you.
The worst form of limitation is self-limitation.
Don't wait for the future to happen; happen to the future.
Before the future arrives, prepare for it.
Biblical Examples of Those Who Won Because of Their Mind
1. Joseph
- By his gift, he gave the interpretation; by his mind, he proffered a solution.
2. David.
- What you don't see coming will never come to you. Even though David did not have a sword to cut off the head of Goliath, he had won him in his mind.
3. Issac. - Gen.26:1-3,12-13
- Your mentality determines your reality. To live a different life, you must have a different mind.
Impact of the Mind on Your Life.
1. Your state of mind defines the state of your life.
- Mentality defines reality.
2. The renewal of your mind equals the upgrade of your life.
3. Your change of mind provokes a change in your life's season.
- Your season changes when your senses change.
4. God hears and responds to thoughts like He hears and responds to prayers. - Eph. 3:20
5. Your mind affects access to God’s voice. - Acts 10:19, Matt. 1:20
6. Your mind determines the acts and possibilities of God. - Phil. 1:14
7. Your mind determines the stability of your mind. - Job 23:13
To Enhance Your Mind for Triumph:
1. Avoid sin - Rom. 3:23
• Iniquity corrupts mentality.
2. Avoid the wrong association and the wrong communication. - Num. 13:31-33
3. Renew your mind continually in the Word. - Rom. 12:1-2
• What you hear feeds your faith and what you hear determines what you fear.
4. Think the Word; think productively and positively. - Pro. 21:5
5. Engage the power of the Spirit. - 2 Tim. 1:6-7
