Füssen was such a small town but it really has it all! Colourful ancient buildings in the old town, stunning churches, majestic lakes and more to come in part 2! It’s not too crowded but still very much lively. Definitely recommend spending a few days here if you are looking to get away from the city.

I stayed at Jugendherberge Youth Hostel when I was there and it was very comfortable for €30 per night. The place was clean, the rooms were warm and showers were hot. There is even a breakfast buffet every morning. Check it out if you’re looking for a budget-friendly place to stay.
