Make a DIY pneumatic Halloween prop idea creepy moving window shutters to decorate your haunted house walkthrough for Halloween. How to make pneumatic Halloween moving window shutter props. As we continue to build our Haunted House for Halloween which is featured on ABC The Great Halloween Fright we have been coming up with creative ways to make it really haunted. What creepy old dilapidated house is complete without a set of rattling and banging broken window shutters slapping against the side of the house in the wind. We take you through all the steps we took to design and make these fun Halloween decoration ideas and moving props. The effect is fairly easy to create if you have an air compressor. The spooky effect can also be created with a small motor and swinging arms connected to the wooden shutters. These windows are up on the second floor of our haunted house and will make noise as people walk into the front yard of our home. The case units are connected to a motion sensor hidden under the front porch. The chase units turn the air valves off and on creating a simple action. Nothing fancy but it works.
