"As addiction medicine moves farther into the mainstream of medicine, we need to figure out how to move the best parts of traditional addiction treatment with us. With MAT a new focus, inpatient treatment under significant pressure and parity moving forward the next 3-5 years will see a complete overhaul of addiction treatment in the US. In this discussion I will touch on new legislation, creative payment models, workforce development, performance and outcome measures that will lead to us to thrive in the future of addiction treatment."
