This video takes a look inside Arrival's futuristic ai robot driven production line and factory where they are building their self driving vans.
These are micro-factories, which look more futuristic than a Tesla or SpaceX factory. The space is arranged into cells - where only ai robots work and build. Autonomous mobile robots connect the cells together, by transporting parts to each one.
Unlike a traditional assembly line, the cell based microfactory concept can build multiple versions of a vehicle. As cells can be added and transporting robots can be rerouted - while the rest of the factory keeps working.
Other topics covered in this video include:
• Arrival's self driving and electric bus design, with futuristic features such as wrap round LED screens and stopping the bus with your phone
• Their ai racing car
• The benefits of microfactories over traditional factories, including Tesla's assembly line layout - Microfactory vs. Gigafactory
• How Arrival UK uses fabric to build its vehicles
• How there is no welding involved
• And all of the robots working in the microfactory
