Game Information: Portal: Prelude, as its name implies, is an unofficial prequel to the game Portal.

It's story revolves around the pre-GLaDOS epoch way before she was plugged in.

Back then, test subjects were still monitored by real Aperture Science employees, a tedious, dull, and repetitive job.

One of the reasons why they decided to build a great artificial intelligence that could both replace them for these complex tasks and also take responsibility for many other functions within the complex while competing with Black Mesa's superiority.

Chapter Information: Entering the Office Complex, Abby is directed towards a celebration party featuring a delicious piece of cake. After enjoying the celebrations, Abby then approaches the large chamber located at the Aperture Science Enrichment Center after navigating her way through office areas and maintenance corridors.

Eventually managing to enter GLaDOS's chamber via the maintenance catwalks above, Abby witnesses the iconic awakening of GLaDOS with the artificial intelligence then beginning it's take over of the facility.

Forced to retrieve the Morality Core to pacify GLaDOS and prevent her from flooding the complex with neurotoxin, Abby flees from Aperture Science Rocket Turrets and Aperture Science Manhacks that attempt to kill her on sight.

However, Abby retrieves an Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device and is successfully able to attach the Morality Core onto the rouge machine.

Sadly GLaDOS is able to flood the complex with neurotoxin with Abby severely injured in the process.

Later on in a dazed and injured state, Abby escapes from the Aperture Science Enrichment Center and comes face to face with the G-Man leaving her fate ambiguous.
