Sara Tolaney, MD, MPH, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, discusses the final overall survival (OS) analysis of the Phase III TROPiCS-02 study (NCT03901339), which evaluated the efficacy of sacituzumab govitecan, a Trop-2-directed antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), in patients with pretreated, endocrine-resistant HR+/HER2– metastatic breast cancer. A significant overall survival benefit in patients receiving sacituzumab govitecan was reported compared to single-agent chemotherapy. This improvement was observed regardless of HER2-low status, reinforcing the investigational ADC as an effective and safe treatment option for patients with limited alternatives.
