How does a gas-fired steam humidifier work?
A gas-fired steam humidifier is an isothermal humidifier which heats and finally vaporizes water using a gas burner which works with a heat exchanger unit.
It comes equipped with a filling unit for humidification water, a water tank in which water is heated and a gas burner with a heat exchanger unit.
It also has an outlet connection through which steam is passed on to an air conditioning system, and a control unit which precisely regulates the humidification process or makes it possible for this process to network with the central building control system.
The water tank is first filled with water. Then the gas burner in the heat exchanger is activated and the water heated until it vaporizes.
The steam is then guided into an air conditioning unit via a steam distribution system.
The combustion gases produced during the combustion process are either drawn off via a chimney or used with exhaust air for regenerative heat recovery via a heat exchanger.
