Sony A7C + Kit Lens | Not your average kit lens! | Sample Images
So in this video we are going to analyze images shot with the Sony A7C and the Kit lens 28-60 mm f4 - 5.6 While the 28.60 mm f4 to 5.6 may seems a very odd focal length. Sony gave us the best of both worlds by kitting this lens with the Sony A7C.
The first thing that I have to say about the A7C kit lens is that it is small and light. The 28-60 mm f4 - 5.6 is not the fastest lens out there but it produces very sharp images that will rival much more expensive options. So If you are planing to get the best bang for your buck when it comes to an affordable Sony zoom lens then the 28-60 mm f4 - 5.6 is the lens you are looking for.
Pay attention at the beginning and end as I'll be showing you a jpg image with the picture profile backed in so you can appreciate the color science of the Sony A7C. Unfortunately there is no camera profiles yet in Lightroom and I hope that Adobe adds them soon.
Sony has gradually been perfecting their color science and the Sony A7C is a testament that things are way better than 3 years ago for example.
The Sony A7C is with the Combo 28-60 mm f4 - 5.6 kit lens is an affordable option to full frame quality without breaking the bank.
There are going to be certain limitations with the Sony A7C and the 28-60 mm f4 - 5.6 Kit lens but they are mainly related to comfort and ease of use meaning that you wont sacrifice quality as a result of that.
In my opinion aside the limited amount of Dials, buttons and having only 1 SD card the Sony A7C is a great options for those looking to get the most compact full frame camera from Sony today.
If you can spend the money in the Sony A7C with the kit lens go right ahead. I think is worth it.
