THe Stow Symphony Orchestra performed its winter concert March 5th. he symphony started with Beethoven's dramatic "Coriolan" overture, depicting the Roman general's inner turmoil resulting from the conflict of his desire for revenge on his enemies with his strong family values. Following was the light-hearted "Mother Goose Suite" by Maurice Ravel, with themes representing well-known fairy tales as "Sleeping Beauty," "Tom Thumb," and "Beauty and the Beast."
The finale was the challenging Symphony No. 8. in G Major by Antonín Dvorák.
