There is a small error. Instead of 2 tbsp coriander seed, i have mentioned 2 tbsp fenugreek seed. Make sure to use coriander seed.

3 tbsp oil
6 tbsp chana dal
2 tbsp urad dal/ black gram dal
2 tbsp coriander seed
2 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp asafoetida/ hing
7 to 8 curry leaves
