Full recipe:
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 splash of vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
Sprinkles if desired
Food coloring of choice
Piping bag
Start whisking 4 egg whites together. After 5 minutes of beating, add cream of tartar. Increase speed of whisking every 5 to 7 minutes as batter continues to froth.
Once thick, add powdered sugar. Once sugar is mixed in and batter thickens more, add vanilla extract. From there, continue whisking until batter is stiff. If you pick it up with a spoon and it doesn’t fall, it’s done. Check the batter between your fingers to make sure it isn’t grainy—if it is, continue whisking.
Place in piping bag and pipe onto a baking tray. Add sprinkles if desired. Bake at 200F for 2.5 hours.
Serve and enjoy!
