Born Alfred Hawthorne Hill, Benny Hill was the middle child of Helen and Alfred Hill. His father ran a surgical appliances shop where he mostly sold condoms. Both his father, Alfred Hill, and grandfather, Henry Hill, had also been circus clowns. This childhood gave Benny Hill two things: a never-ending fascination towards the entertainment industry and an awkwardness towards women. Though Benny Hill often fell in love with women who were far out of his league, he often compromised and kept his hopes alive with simple and easier dates who agreed to give him what he wanted for a simple and cheap gift. While this lifestyle allowed Benny to go on for years, it left him alone during his last years, which he spent all by himself, trying to get over a rejection from a television network he had given twenty years to.

Benny Hill's life was a memorable one -- he started from scratch and built an empire (at the time of his death, his net worth was £7 million). Though unfortunately, when his time came, there was no one to hold his own. Benny wasn't your typical sad clown -- he may have been unlucky in
