USA has a great philatelic history. Stamp collection has been a great passion for last 1-2 centuries. Rare and Classic Postage Stamps are worth collecting. These are very valuable historical pieces. In 1847, Congress authorized United States Of America Postage stamps. The first postage stamp which went on sale in New York on July 1, 1847 was a general issue. Since then USA has issued remarkable stamps which reflect its history, politics, culture, events, ceremonies, famous personals, landscapes, industries, birds, animals, flowers etc. Stamps that were produced in limited amounts or those which have some printing errors are usually considered valuable.
