Comedian Janakaraj was an indispensable actor in Tamil cinema in the 80s. He has acted with all the leading actors like Rajini, Kamal and has built a fan base.

Having acted in more than 200 films, he first made his debut in Tamil cinema with the Bharathiraja-directed film Ishki Pogama Rai. The last film he acted in was Janakaraj Vijay Sethupathi's 96.

He was born in 1955 to Vadivelu and Muthuletsumi. He was interested in acting and participated in local theater groups. Janakaraj, a resident of Chennai, did not study well during his college days, but everyone around him belonged to the film industry.
