Ilocos Norte calls it CHINESE BIBINGKA, Cagayan calls it PAWA, and Cebu calls is MASI. Different names and forms but same ingredients. Ilocos has it flatten, while Cagayan and Cebu has it balled. This recipe was originally made by Chinese migrants here in the Philippines. This is now well loved merienda from the places mentioned.
Ingredients
Dough:
500g glutinous rice flour / malagkit
1 cup white sugar
2 cups water
3 tbsp vegetable oil
pinch of salt
Filling:
1/2 cup ground toasted peanut
1/2 cup muscavado or brown sugar.
