This video shows how to get out of the area with the birthday cake. It's achieved while playing as Ethan (testing area), however you could have "visited" this place before if you finished the scene from the "Happy Birthday" tape. Playing that tape is actually a good hint on how to avoid being killed at the end of the scene - you can't interact with the barrel, because the wine would've ignited the whole room. Follow the steps from the video and notice that you can take a huge shortcut by proceeding directly to the lock with the LOSER password. After you deliver the lit candle to the cake be ready to act fast. Pick up the bomb and go to the weak wall to get rid of it. The explosion will unlock the exit.
