New Zealand will be back in a three-day lockdown from Aug 18 after detecting a single community case of COVID-19. A major factor behind the strong response is the fact that the case has no obvious connection to the border or managed isolation. Authorities are also assuming the worst -- that the patient has contracted the highly contagious Delta variant.
