(3 Mar 2020) Syrian government forces and their allies on Monday intensified air strikes on rebel-held areas of the Idlib countryside.
In al-Barah town towards the south of Idlib province, Syrian jets carried out multiple bombings causing devastating damage.
The British-based Syrian observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor group, in its daily report increased the number of air raids carried out by government forces in countryside south of Idlib and Saraqeb to 95.
The strikes came amid escalating and direct clashes between Syrian and Turkish forces which could signal a new stage in the war.
