Ahead of Eric Johnson's retirement from KOMO News, we have looked back at his time in sports, moving to news, and his wildly popular Eric’s Heroes segments. Another key part of his career came in the form of four documentaries looking at homelessness and drug crises.
One documentary in particular became his most surprising, most controversial, most talked about, and among his most watched pieces: “Seattle is Dying.”
We are accustomed to the images of sprawling homeless camps and open-air drug use, now. But when tents first started blocking city sidewalks, Eric wanted to understand.
