Palomar airport (KCRQ) in Carlsbad, CA is at the northern end of San Diego County and it's built on an old landfill. I've flown Cessna's there several times and it's a nice little airport. It's technically built on top of a landfill, but that helps keep it above the surrounding terrain, actually making landing there relatively easy.
