The Nymphenburg Palace is a Baroque palace situated in Munich's western district, Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, in Bavaria, Southern Germany. The palace and its adjacent park constitute one of the premier royal palaces in Europe. Its frontal width of 632 m (2,073 ft) (north-south axis) even surpasses Versailles Palace. The Nymphenburg served as the main summer residence for the former rulers of Bavaria of the House of Wittelsbach.
It is free to enter the palace park. However, there is an admission fee for entering the palace building. There is a cafeteria at the park.
You can reach Schlosspark Nymphenburg by public transportation. You can take tram 16 or 17 from Hauptbahnhof Nord (north exit of Munich Central station) towards AmalienburgstraBe and get off at Schloss Nymphenburg station and then walk for about 10 minutes to reach the palace visitor center.
