I made this healing music to deepen spirituality and enhance your spiritual practice as a tool help bring you closer to yourSelf and the Divine.
This is a remix of To Montezuma from my 2019 album, In The Flow.
The whole album was designed to be a powerful soundtrack for an hour-long spiritual experience or yoga class. There were fewer vocals throughout the album, and To Montezuma was purely instrumental.

Would you agree that yoga has kinda faded out of the limelight compared to a few years ago, and the focus has overshadowed by healing modalities such as frequency therapy and plant medicine? Well, I believe those things are tremendously effective, and use them also, but I think it's important to continue a regular physical practice of yoga (asana) on our holistic healing journey because it is SO EFFECTIVE!
So, while yogic teachings may considered it taboo to display our asana practice and it can be considered egocentric, I think peering into a practice like mine can intrigue the want to pursue the practice oneself once seen that the commonly perceived idea of yoga being slow, gentle, with long held positions, isn't the only way yoga looks and feels. The lineage of yoga that I practice is called Vinyasa, which is a fluid, more dance-like, and sometimes more rigorous practice.
Yoga goes much deeper than the physical practice of asana. Asana is actually the 3rd limb of the 8 limb path of yoga. There is a whole ethical practice that makes up the first two limbs, but I'll get to those another time.
Within the Yogic teachings of the 8 limb path, we strive to obtain the ability to separate oneSelf from the ego and achieve the sense of oneness that comes from reaching the 8th limb at a state of Samadhi (enlightenment or nirvana). So when I speak of the ego in context above, I mean those things we identify with like our name, our job, appearance, our possessions, learned beliefs, etc, not in the way that describes a character trait of someone who is arrogant or narcissistic.
While it is important to remain grounded in the world with the help of the ego, it's essential that we learn the difference between the "ego" and the true Self. This kind of awakening comes when we practice the 8 limbs, and asana is a great place to start in spite of the fact that it's the 3rd limb.
When we come to this realization and reunion with Self, we experience the feeling of a weight be lifted off our shoulders. We feel at peace, and there is a removal of fear and anxiety. We begin to find our sense of purpose and "true calling", or dharma.
Your entire life can be changed in a positive and profound way, just by adding ONE YOGA CLASS a week to your schedule. There are so many styles of yoga and there is something for everyone.
We teacher's like to say, "our issues are in our tissues". So by working the body in these very specific ways, we are clearing our energy channels to allow life to flow more effortlessly, and "ringing ourselves out" from held issues from our past. Yoga doesn't just relieve physical pain, but emotional and generational pain as well.
Yoga can be extremely restorative and accessible to all body types, and it can also be extremely difficult and take many years to achieve an advanced practice. I'm just scratching the surface here on what an advanced practice looks like.
That being said, one doesn't have to set off on a pursuit to archive these challenging-pinnacle poses either. There is a level that is appropriate for all body types, and the practice will change and adapt as we improve, age, or work though injuries.
I'm currently teaching chair yoga to a 95 year old woman every week. She was on hospice at this time last year from a fall, and now she's nearly good as new. You can think of yoga as "the fountain of youth". It's something we can do until we die, and makes our experience and quality of life so much better.
I could write a whole book report on yoga and it's benefits, but the goal here is just to peek your interest. I believe that the more people who practice yoga in this world, the more peaceful the world will become. So yes...my mission is world peace. A bit optimistic, maybe, but we gotta try, right?
So please, share this video with anyone you think it will help in the hopes we can achieve this goal together. :)
