Let's end the big question: Does salt kill yeast? We set out to investigate to prove that salt does not kill yeast. It helps to control fermentation. In this experiment, we are making 3 loaves: one with no salt, one with 2% salt and one with 10% salt to see how salt affects the bread.
In conclusion, salt does not kill the yeast but helps control its function in the fermentation process.
