Sri Lanka Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa has said that the Terrorist LTTE is targeting the people in the South, to create pressure through the civilians to force the government to halt attacks on Kilinochchi.
He said they are fulfilling their responsibilities at a time when the Terrorist LTTE is insanely targeting innocent civilians in the face of their defeat. The message they attempted to give at Kebbathigollawa and Nugegoda has been given again. He said they would like to tell the Terrorist LTTE in clear terms that even if thousand explosions take place, the resolve to release the Wanni and Kilinochchi from the grip of the tigers should not be abandoned.
Mr. Weerawansa made these observations at a function held yesterday to introduce the 'Ranaviru Neth-Pahana' programme at the BMICH. An automatic electricity generating reading table was introduced at the function, to assist the children of the war heroes whose houses do not have electricity facilities.
